Well haven’t I been organised?!
Evening all.
I’m afraid I have to let you down (again) – I have no new post for you to read but this time there is a perfectly good reason for that. See, instead of completely wasting my Thursday playing on my xbox, hitting refresh every five minutes on the Facebook news feed and eating myself to death, I decided to make a check list of all the assignments I have to do this semester (my dad will be very proud).
Turns out that for my Foundations of Christian Theology Module, I have to write an essay an exactly the topic I was going to write about tonight! Uncanny no? I have to critically asses two sources of theology, these being out of reason, scripture, experience and tradition. So being the dedicated writer I am, I thought I’d wait until I’d read a bit more around the subject in order to offer a more rounded and fully researched opinion.
In the mean time, I’ve been drafting my best man speech for my dad’s wedding in December; it’s so much harder than I thought it would be! I don’t know whether to be funny, sincere or what! I’ve got my opening – which I would share with you, but my dad reads this blog and I want to keep it a surprise – so I can’t. Also, I’ve been thinking about the book I intend to write once I’ve graduated. Yes, the person who can rarely be arsed to write blog posts wants to write a book. How ironic. Even so, I’m giving it some thought and I think it’ll probably tie in with the topic I choose for my dissertation in year three – something political, philosophical and theological. Who knows, it may even lead on to a Masters or even a PhD!
Anywho, sorry to disappoint you all again, I can tell you were dying to read what I had in store for you and for that I apologise. It’ll be worth the wait in the end.
Just you wait and see.
