£50, 4 hours sleep and an 8 hour shift later…

¡Buenos noches todos mis lectores muy bonitas! As they might say in Spanish, but we’re not in Spain so I suppose I should re-open this ramble in the beautiful language that you and I both speak:

Good evening all of my beautiful readers! – Is that better?

Well, I just thought I’d have a quick ramble about the past twenty-four hours. The title pretty much sums it up. Last night, me and the people from work went out into York for a night out (my first time out in York I hacen to add) just for the sole purpose of getting absolutely car parked. Let me tell you, it was one of the best nights out I think I’ve ever had!

I don’t remember much but from what I do remember, I have a lot to look forward to when I start university in September. There are so many clubs and bars there it’s unbelievable and they’re so much cheaper than the places in Harrogate, so £50 actually got me quite far. Waking up this morning I felt like death warmed up in a microwave; after having Subway at half-past-two on the way home and eventually getting to bed at three-thirty this morning plus a raging hangover from the combination of beer and vodka-laced cocktails, facing an eight hour shift at work seemed all so impossibly daunting.

But, it went quite well and in actual fact quite quickly. The train ride home was a nightmare. Instead of inconsiderate bastards from the Yorkshire Show I had inconsiderate bastards from the York Races to contend with; all I wanted was to eat my Burger King in peace. Then on my way to hospital to visit my mother (she’s in with severe diverticulitis) the bus driver complained at me paying using change, so by this point I was feeling rather narked.

In all honesty though, right now…I’m feeling great. I’ve got the flat to myself and it’s nice to pretend I’m actually living on my own. I like my own company, I can come and go as I please and I can do almost what I want (I’ve just realised I don’t know where my sister’s rabbit is, I can just find traces of his poo on the floor).  I feel really content. I love the new friends I’ve made at Charles Clinkard, they’ve made me feel so welcome and accepted and they’re such great people to be around. So may I give a shout out to Ollie Morton, Hayley Wrigglesworth and Robyn James especially! Thank you guys.

Now that the sop is over and done with, I think it’s time I should end this ramble as you probably haven’t found it very interesting at all! So, I’m going to go watch “Inside Man” and eat the tuna and sweetcorn sandwich I bought myself yesterday. Have a lovely rest of the evening.

I love you all.
